Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Salman Ahmed (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit salmanahmed.tech (the “Site”) or contact me about a web design, WordPress, or related project.

I’m a freelance WordPress developer and web designer based in Karachi, Pakistan, working with clients worldwide. I take your privacy seriously and only collect the information I genuinely need to respond to you and deliver great work. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information I Collect

I collect two kinds of information:

Information you give me directly — when you fill in the contact form, the project brief, request a quote, or email/message me, I collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, project requirements, budget range, and anything else you choose to share.

Information collected automatically — when you browse the Site, my analytics and hosting tools may record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, pages viewed, and the date/time of your visit. This is aggregated, non-identifying usage data used to understand how the Site performs.

  • Contact & project details you submit through forms or messages
  • Email, phone, and WhatsApp correspondence
  • Booking details when you schedule a call
  • Cookies and anonymous analytics about how you use the Site

3. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and answer questions about your project
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and deliver the services you’ve requested
  • Schedule and conduct discovery calls and meetings
  • Communicate with you about ongoing work and provide support
  • Improve the Site’s content, performance, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse

I do not use your information for automated decision-making, and I only send you marketing messages if you’ve explicitly asked me to.

4. Cookies & Tracking

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the Site working correctly, while analytics cookies help me understand aggregate traffic and improve the Site.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies won’t stop you from using the Site, though some features may behave differently.

5. Third-Party Services

The Site relies on a few trusted third-party services to function. Each processes limited data under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage and traffic analytics
  • Cal.com — scheduling discovery calls and meetings
  • Resend — delivering form submissions to my inbox by email
  • WhatsApp — optional direct messaging if you choose to reach out there
  • Hosting & CDN providers — serving the Site securely and reliably

I don’t control these third parties’ data practices and encourage you to review their privacy policies. I only share the minimum information required for each service to do its job.

6. How I Share Your Information

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I only share it in these limited situations:

  • With service providers (listed above) strictly to operate the Site and respond to you
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
  • To protect my rights, safety, or property, or that of others

7. Data Retention

I keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — typically for the duration of our conversation or project, plus a reasonable period afterwards for records, follow-up, and legal requirements. When it’s no longer needed, I delete or anonymize it.

8. Data Security

I use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including HTTPS encryption, reputable hosting, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but I take your data seriously and work to keep it safe.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information I hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, just email me at contact@salmanahmed.tech and I’ll respond as quickly as I can.

10. International Data Transfers

I’m based in Pakistan and work with clients around the world, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Wherever it’s handled, I treat it in line with this policy and applicable data-protection laws.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed at children under 16. I don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided me with personal data, please contact me and I’ll delete it.

13. Sticky Notes Anywhere (Browser Extension)

This section covers the “Sticky Notes Anywhere” browser extension specifically, and applies in addition to the rest of this policy.

Local by default. The extension lets you place sticky notes on any webpage. By default your notes are stored only in your browser’s local storage, on your own device — nothing is sent to any server, and no account is required to use it.

Optional cloud sync. If you choose to create an account and sign in, the extension syncs your notes so you can use them across devices and from your web dashboard. In that case I store:

  • Your email address — to create and secure your account
  • Your notes — their title, text, colours, any images you add, and basic layout — so they can sync across your devices

This account data is stored with Supabase (the backend provider) and protected by row-level security, so each user can only access their own notes. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth.

What it does NOT collect. The extension does not track your browsing history, and it does not read, collect, or transmit the content of the web pages you visit — only the notes you deliberately create. Sync never runs unless you sign in.

How the data is used. Your email and notes are used solely to provide the notes and sync features and to let you manage your notes from the dashboard. I never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never use it for any purpose unrelated to running the extension.

Permissions. The extension requests only what it needs: access to the current tab (to show your notes on the page when you activate it), local storage (to save your notes), and a connection to the backend that is used only when you sign in to sync.

Your control. You can delete individual notes at any time from the extension or dashboard. To delete your account and all synced notes, email me at contact@salmanahmed.tech and I’ll remove them.

14. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in my practices or legal requirements. When I do, I’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear here.
