Project Overview
Manindar Singh found my website on Google and messaged me with a clear goal: a landing page for his life-insurance advisory in Canada. On our discovery call he walked me through the business — NexLife connects Canadians with licensed advisors for whole life insurance and RESP education-savings planning — and, crucially, who it was for. His audience wasn't the usual insurance demographic. He was targeting young people: students, new immigrants, young professionals, and first-time parents across Canada.
That audience shaped the whole brief. Most insurance websites look corporate, grey, and intimidating. Manindar wanted the opposite — something modern and fresh with eye-catching colors that would make a 25-year-old actually stop and read about life insurance. He shared inspiration sites, I shared ideas, and we locked the direction together.

Project Execution
I started at the brand level, not the page level. Before any layout work, I drafted NexLife's design system — the logo, the purple-forward color palette, typography, and component styles — so every section would feel like one coherent brand rather than a themed template.
Then I designed the full landing page in Figma: hero, coverage calculator, product sections for whole life and RESP, audience showcase, FAQ, and the lead form. Once Manindar approved the design, I converted it to WordPress with Elementor — pixel-perfect against the Figma file, with subtle animations and micro-interactions that give the page life without slowing it down.
Key Features:
- Complete Branding from Scratch: Logo, color palette, fonts, and a reusable design system — NexLife didn't have a brand before this project; it launched with one.
- Interactive Coverage Calculator: A 5-step 'See What You Need in 2 Minutes' flow that turns a cold visitor into a warm, qualified lead by the final step.
- Conversion-First Lead Form: Province and purpose fields qualify every enquiry before it lands in the inbox, so advisors only spend time on real prospects.
- Pixel-Perfect Figma → Elementor Conversion: Every padding, font size, and interaction matches the approved design — including manually rebuilt tablet and mobile breakpoints.
- Subtle Animations & Micro-interactions: Soft reveals and hover states tuned for a young audience — enough motion to feel modern, never enough to hurt performance.
- Trust & Urgency Mechanics: Ratings, client logos, and age-based-pricing messaging positioned to move a hesitant younger audience toward action.
Project Results
- NexLife launched with a complete brand identity it didn't have before — logo, colors, typography, and a design system
- The landing page started generating advisor leads soon after launch
- Three separate conversion paths (quote form, calculator, advisor call) capture visitors at different levels of intent
- Fully responsive, pixel-perfect build that matches the approved Figma design on every breakpoint
- A foundation that's ready to scale into more pages as the business grows

Client's Feedback
“He got what we were trying to do straight away…”
I messaged Salman after finding his site on Google, and honestly he got what we were trying to do straight away. Insurance sites usually look boring and corporate — he built us something young people actually engage with. The design came out exactly like the Figma he showed me, the calculator idea worked better than I expected, and we started getting leads from the page. Really smooth to work with.
